Lip Reconstruction 04
After removal a basal cell cancer with Mohs surgery, this 74 year old woman had a wound of her right lateral upper lip. Dr. Amit Bhrany repaired her lip by advancing the entire remaining lip tissue to right of the wound into the defect by making incisions along the natural smile line between her cheek and lip (melolabial crease) as well as along the border between the lip skin and red mucus lining (vermilion). She is shown 3 months post-operative.
