This 36 year old woman had a defect of her nasal tip after removal of a basal cell cancer by Mohs surgery. Dr. Amit Bhrany repaired her nose by placing a cartilage graft at the nostril (alar) rim to prevent nostril notching (alar retraction), and by recruiting tissue from above the wound in the form of a local nasal advancement flap. She is shown 14 months post-operative.
