This 69 year old gentleman had a defect of his entire nasal ala after removal of a basal cell cancer with Mohs surgery. Dr. Amit Bhrany reconstructed his nose with cartilage grafts to support the structure of the nasal ala to prevent notching (alar retraction) and an interpolated local flap from his cheek (melolabial flap) for the skin. He is shown 4 months post-operative.
