Introduction to Laser Hair Removal

Reduce and eliminate unwanted hair!

Unwanted body hair is a problem that everyone experiences. This is why hair removal has become the #1 non-invasive aesthetic procedure available today. The 810nm diode laser is used to remove and permanently reduce unwanted body hair on all skin types. The pulse repetition rate can be adjusted up to 10 pulses per second, allowing both small and large areas to be treated fast and effectively.

Who is a candidate for Laser Hair Removal?

Laser hair removal is most effective on areas with dark, coarse hair, though can still yield results with other hair types as well. For those patients with darker skin types, a test of the laser on your skin may be required prior to full treatment to minimize the risk of discoloration.

What is the recovery time following treatment?

Laser hair removal treatments are fast and require little or no downtime. In some cases, mild redness or swelling may occur and last for several hours following treatment. However, normal activity and skin care may resume on the same day as treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

The number of treatments required for effective hair removal can vary. However, most patients begin to notice changes in hair growth after just 2-3 appointments. As the course of treatment continues, you will see less and less hair growth. Laser hair removal usually requires at least 6 treatments spaced approximately 4-6 weeks apart for significant hair reduction to be achieved.

Does it hurt?

Laser hair removal can cause minor discomfort and feel like a rubber band snap on your skin. To help minimize discomfort, cooling gel and a cooling laser head are used directly on the skin.
