This 65 year old woman had a melanoma of the left lower eyelid extending to her upper cheek. The sutures in the preoperative photo mark the extent of skin that was removed to cure the melanoma. Dr. Amit Bhrany reconstructed her lower eyelid and cheek by creating a skin flap that brought in from her cheek and in front of her ear (cervicofacial flap). She is shown 1 year post-operative without any evidence of recurrent cancer or distortion of her eyelid.
